New board decision: SSAB’s site in Luleå, Sweden, will be next to transform in our journey to become a fossil-free company. 🌱⚙ We’ll replace our old blast furnace-based production system with a state-of-the-art mini-mill, and in the process remove 7% of Sweden’s CO2 emissions. The new mill will run on fossil-free electricity and use fossil-free energy sources only. It will be supplied with two types of raw material: ✅ Fossil-free sponge iron produced with the unique HYBRIT technology ✅ Carefull
