The Arctic Ocean. Easily one of the most chaotic and unique environments on the planet - a nearly 3 mile deep body of water covered by a thin skin of ice that is constantly moving depending on the winds, tides and ocean currents. Setting up a safe and secure camp each night requires equal amounts of science, art and luck. I have woken up and unzippped the tent vestibule and seen everything from newly pressures ice, an open lead, and even a couple of times, polar bears. Despite all the hardships,
