The Walcher's manoeuvre during labour involves getting into a position that allows the pelvis to tilt, thus increasing the pelvic inlet diameter. This makes it easier for the fetal head to engage. This could be suggested if the labour has been particularly long as a result of the baby's head being high and not coming down with the force of the contractions, despite mobilisation with other positions.
