Your general practitioner, or in fact any doctor, are unlikely to sign any fit to do letter for you ever again after this, it’s not worth it in any sense of it. Doctors can sign the forms if they feel specialist qualification allows them to judge the facts and they are indemnified, but otherwise, I can’t see any circumstance where taking this risk is worth it?! Please let me know in the comments if you’re a doctor still signing these forms, please let me know if you’re a patient who has had one
