On the opposite end of “run tall, high knees, step over the knee” we have… bounce. Bounce expands naturally into higher knees as horizontal ground speed increases. (Something similar happens in teaching proper bounding and bound progressions). Overcoaching high knee everything at low speeds can deprive athletes a chance to feel and rehearse this quality naturally.
