The last U-Haul I drove was a 26 footer with a gutless gas engine, a very difficult to shift manual transmission, and a failing cooling system. Hopefully there aren't any of those left that you may have to deal with!

Personally I've purchased and installed quite a number of trailer hitches from the company called www.etrailer.com. They show photos of the various hitch options for your vehicle as well as detailed installation instructions and videos.

Did this myself, & had to pay. And I bought the U-Haul insurance! But this is the trick… they have different levels of insurance and I thought different levels just covered different dollar amounts of damage. But the U-Haul insurance that covers damage to the roof is the most expensive one.

U haul is the cheapest company ever there will never be a u haul discount. What I can say is if your getting a one way truck play with the city combination and you’ll find cheaper rates .

May 26, 2015 · It's easy, you just back the U-haul truck up to the back of the semi trailer and roll your stuff directly from one to another using a dolly and a single ramp. The difference in height between the two truck beds is less than a foot. The U-haul is lower. Total cost to move from Miami to Los Angeles, including the two U-haul rentals was about $1100.
