Six teams in the AP Top 25 lost in Week 12, including two from the ACC and two from the SEC. Several others escaped upsets.

Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.

Associated Press poll leaders Ohio State, Indiana and Texas A&M are prohibitive favorites in their games Saturday and No. 10 Texas’ game at No. 5 Georgia will be in the spotlight.

Houston was No. 1 in the poll released Monday, swapping spots with Purdue by earning three more points overall. The Cougars received 18 first-place votes from a 61-person media panel and Purdue had 36, with four other teams also getting at least one.
