Space Mountain Construction Now Visible Inside Tokyo DisneylandSpace Mountain Demolition and Construction Tokyo Disneyland’s original Space Mountain — which opened with the park in 1983 — closed permanently in July of last year.
The original version of Space Mountain opened in 1975 inside Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. The roller coaster quickly became a hit, making a West Coast version a top priority for the company.
