Texas A&M, South Carolina and Aggies
Digest more
Texas A&M football continues to show the 2025 team is not your father's Aggies, avoiding the clichéd College State collapse with a 31-30 comeback win over South Carolina. On Saturday, A&M (10-0, 7-0) became the first team since at least 2004 to win an SEC game when trailing by 27. The last 286 SEC teams that trailed by that much ended up losing.
The Gamecocks steamrolled the Aggies in last year's meeting between the two teams, with quarterback LaNorris Sellers and running back Raheim Sanders combining for 250 yards rushing against a top-notch A&M run defense and coming away with the 44-20 victory.
Expectations of a head coach are always subject to change. Shane Beamer's South Carolina Gamecocks were widely expected to get torn apart by the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies (and they still might). But after blowing a massive halftime lead,
Joyce Edwards and Raven Johnson both had double-doubles as the No. 2 South Carolina women's basketball team defeated No. 8 USC on Saturday.
