The Rowena Fire, burning in the Columbia River Gorge, held steady over the weekend while crews worked to contain the blaze.

Fire officials have reduced the total size of the Rowena Fire near The Dalles to more than 3,600 acres, which is down from 3,800. It's 24% contained.
