The San Diego Padres obtained left-handed pitcher Nestor Cortes, minor league shortstop Jorge Quintana and cash from the Milwaukee Brewers for outfielder Brandon Lockridge prior to Thursday's trade deadline.

After Nestor Cortes found out the Brewers dealt him to the Padres, he was in total shock, but is grateful to help the Fryers win.
