All-Star slugger Yordan Alvarez has been placed on the 10-day injured list with right hand inflammation, the Houston Astros announced Monday. The move is retroactive to May 3, when Alvarez was scratched from the lineup before the Astros' 8-3 win over the host Chicago White Sox.
