It’s a Father’s Day miracle. The Texas Rangers swept a team for the first time in over a month. The Rangers beat the Chicago White Sox, 2-1, Sunday at Globe Life Field to secure their first sweep since May 12-14 against the Colorado Rockies.

The quick toss was surprising because Venable generally has a reserved demeanor. But he reached his breaking point after a ball call by plate umpire Marvin Hudson during Rangers shortstop Corey Seager’s at-bat that made it a 3-2 count, instead of a strikeout.

Rookie right-hander Kumar Rocker pitched five scoreless innings with help from some pickle juice, Ezequiel Duran put Texas in front for good with an RBI double and the Rangers finished a sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 2-1 victory on Sunday.
