Patriots training camp kicked up a notch on Monday, as the team put pads on for the first time this summer. One player returned from an injury, while another left the field.

FOXBORO — The New England Patriots took the field at Gillette Stadium on Monday for the fifth day of training camp, but the first in full pads. And head coach Mike Vrabel was ready to keep moving things along.

All eyes will be on Christian Gonzalez on Tuesday, as the Patriots cornerback left Monday’s training camp session with an apparent leg injury.
