A runner died in Saturday's Brooklyn Half Marathon after a medical incident on the course, New York Road Runners said.

The runner, who was a first-time participant in the race, made it to around the 8-mile mark at Ocean Parkway and 18th Ave.

Officials said the runner made it through the first eight miles of the course before experiencing a medical incident.
