Everywhere Bill Belichick went on Thursday, a cascade of cameras and iPhones followed, eventually leading into a jam-packed ballroom for his first big ACC Kickoff press conference.

Belichick avoided the rows of radio reporters in the hotel lobby and spent much of the morning in a hallway outside the green room for players and coaches, down the hall from private rooms for interviews with ESPN.com, SiriusXM and the ACC Digital Network.

As the college football season approaches, the Atlantic Coast Conference is set to welcome three new head coaches to the fray. The biggest name of that group landed at a surprising spot among a ranking of ACC coaches.
