President Donald Trump has moved to keep his former defense attorney Alina Habba on the job as the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey, even though a panel of judges refused to extend her tenure.

The president wants to keep his former personal lawyer as New Jersey’s U.S. attorney.

Her law firm, in an office building in Bedminster only a few miles from Trump’s golf course, consisted of her and three other attorneys, according to the office website.
