"WWE SmackDown" delivered a mixed bag of heat around several angles Friday in the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tag-team action occupied the in-ring spotlight, but fell short of the evening's two singles matches and ongoing storytelling.

Jelly showed he belonged last summer, and even managed to play his role perfectly come SummerSlam, but his work on this week's SmackDown took things to a whole new level.
