Israeli strikes killed at least 78 Palestinians in multiple locations across Gaza on Monday, local health officials said, a day after Israel eased aid restrictions in the face of a worsening humanitarian crisis in the territory.

Israel is continuing airstrikes on Gaza despite announcing daily pauses in fighting to allow aid drops. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump says he advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to change strategies when dealing with Hamas.

The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has killed more than 60,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to a severe hunger crisis.
