LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Rain is expected in Southern California next week, but first, the region will see slightly warmer afternoon conditions with cold overnight temperatures this weekend.

We're thawing out and won't see readings drop below the freezing mark again until Wednesday morning. Look for sunny skies on Tuesday, with readings for the morning commute, near 40 degrees.
