Bradley Beal's Top NBA Landing Spots Amid Suns Contract Buyout Rumors
Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports reported that Beal's buyout is "imminent," and he's likely to have $96.9 million of the $110.8 million remaining on his contract stretched over the next five years. That would allow the Suns to avoid going over both tax aprons.
If the Heat made more of a push for Beal, the All-Star would have been more likely to waive his no-trade clause for the team. They are now stuck with overpaying for Damian Lillard.
In Beal's case, he has basically forced the Suns hand at doing so because of his limited availability (28 missed games this season) and team-worst -9.1 net rating when he's on the floor.
