Tesla CEO Elon Musk said a new Samsung plant in Texas will be devoted to making the next generation of semiconductors for the electric vehicle (EV) company as it pushes the needle on artificial intelligence (AI).

In a familiar critique of corporate structures, Musk also weighed in on the ideal environment for fostering such long-term, existentially focused AI. He declared, “For long-term optimization, it is better to be a private than a public company, as the latter is punished for long-term optimization beyond the reward cycle of stock portfolio managers.”

On Saturday, protestors organized by the group Tesla Takedown set up giant inflatable Musk balloons - with Musk's signature black baseball hat and Tesla T-shirt - giving the Nazi salute outside the diner located on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Elon Musk reiterated his fondness for Dogecoin, calling it the "people's crypto" due to its meme-driven origins, despite dismissing most other cryptocurrencies. Dogecoin's market remains strong, with analysts predicting further surges and institutional adoption growing.
