The lifting of the ban on Rose came a day before the Reds will honor baseball’s career hits leader. The earliest either player could be inducted would be 2028.
"Absolutely pathetic they waited for Pete Rose to pass away before giving him his day in the sun," Gary Sheffield Jr. tweeted. "Reprehensible."
