Edwin Diaz said he was feeling better postgame, having left the Mets' 4-3, extra-innings win over the Phillies on Wednesday with left hip discomfort.

Diaz first entered the game in the top of the ninth with the scored tied at two before attempting a second inning of work in the 10th. He struck out designated hitter Kyle Schwarber to lead off extra innings before allowing an RBI single to right fielder Nick Castellanos, who drove in the "ghost runner" to give the Phillies a 3-2 lead.

Díaz had pitched a clean ninth inning before coming back out for the 10th inning, where he struck out the lead-off hitter before allowing an RBI single to right fielder Nick Castellanos. Right-hander Max Kranick entered the game to replace Díaz. The Mets have not announced the nature of Díaz’s injury.
