An earthquake shook things up in the New York metro area Saturday night. A quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 hit Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, at 10:18 p.m., according to the United States Geological Survey, or USGS.

The 3.0 magnitude quake hit Hasbrouck Heights in New Jersey, just under 8 miles from Central Park, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. People as far away as Rochester—and even near the Canadian border— reported feeling the tremors. New York is no stranger to earthquakes. There have been 44 to hit the state with a magnitude of 3.0 or higher.
