Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is holding the House floor in a speech that has already run for more than two hours, delaying what GOP leaders hoped would be a quick march to the final vote on President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Congressional Republicans are hoping to send their sweeping tax and spending cuts package, otherwise known as the “big, beautiful bill,” to President Donald Trump’s desk by July 4. The House and Senate have each narrowly passed their own versions of the bill.
