According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Guardians were close to trading Steven Kwan to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline. They were so close that a general manager said, "Everyone in baseball thought (the Dodgers) were getting Kwan."

The Cleveland Guardians reportedly opted not to trade two-time All-Star Steven Kwan at the trade deadline, according to Zack Meisel of The Athletic.

The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves sitting comfortably with a four-game lead at the top of the NL West. While their offense is scuffling and failing to score runs at the moment, Los Angeles’ starting rotation is finally getting healthy.
