First Steps has finally debuted in theaters, as the box office battle between the MCU and DC Studios' Superman has begun.

While Superman is already a critical success, its second-week box office will determine if the movie can turn a profit for the DCU.

“Superman” opened with an impressive $122 million at the domestic box office, Warner Bros. told multiple outlets Sunday, after landing the year’s second-largest opening day Friday, with the film on track to gross over $217 million internationally.
