Some areas of New Jersey have been placed under severe thunderstorm warnings because of strong storm cells that have developed early Thursday evening.

A flood watch has been issued for four New Jersey counties starting this afternoon, when severe thunderstorms could hit the state with heavy rain and damaging winds.
