Detroit Bikes is to make a limited run of Collegiate bicycles for Schwinn. After its introduction in 1954 the roadster bicycle was a two-decade top-seller in Schwinn’s catalog.

The Schwinn Collegiate to be produced in Detroit is intended to reflect the leisurely aesthetic evoked by the 1965 version, said Ryan Birkicht, senior communications manager at Schwinn Bikes.
