The NBA All-Star Game will have a new format again. ESPN reported on Sept. 3, the 2026 All-Star Game in Los Angeles will have a round-robin tournament format that will feature three eight-player teams consisting of two USA teams and one World team.

A lot has been made about All-Star weekend over the years. Since NBA Commissioner Adam Silver took over the job, that's been one of the dragons he's attempted to slay. The All-Star Game is typically criticized every year, as new and complex formats are introduced to spark drama.
