The Kentucky Barrels, an expansion team in the Arena Football One league, are calling Truist Arena at Northern Kentucky University home.

AF1 Commissioner Jeff Fisher announced that the league has plans to add at least two teams for next season in cities to be announced in Michigan and Ohio.

Umanmielen was a late addition to the Arena Football League. He got the call from Albany head coach Damon Ware in May — despite the Firebirds’ season beginning in late March.
