LEECH LAKE RESERVATION - A Cass County sheriff’s deputy was shot and wounded near Walker on Sunday evening and another man was killed, according to Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk.

FLINT, MI — A 52-year-old Flint man convicted of second degree murder in connection with a 2024 liquor store shooting that left another man dead will serve at least 47 years in prison.

The incident began around 6 a.m. when police responded to reports of shots fired on Thomas S. Boyland St. near Linden Blvd. in Brownsville.
