Sean Payton broke some news during the Broncos' post-practice training camp press conference. He was asked about Courtland Sutton’s lack of participation in team drills and told reporters that he believes the two sides are close to working out a new contract.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has not been a full participant in training camp practices this week as he and the team continue working toward a contract extension. Coach Sean Payton said Monday that the two sides made progress and a deal could be finalized soon.
