Josh Smith, Jake Burger and Wyatt Langford went deep in the first two innings and the Texas Rangers hit a season-high six home runs in a 16-3 romp over the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.

Left-hander Patrick Corbin (4-5) pitched five innings for the victory. He was chased with none out in the sixth inning when Ty France, Royce Lewis and Willi Castro each hit safely — Castro’s a run-scoring double — and Brooks Lee drove in a run with a groundout off reliever Hoby Milner to make it 13-3.

The starting rotation, which carried the Twins to a 13-game winning streak last month that turned their season around, is now the team’s biggest concern. Nothing went right for Bailey Ober, who surrendered a home run on his second pitch Thursday.
