Sunday's Mariners–Rangers game was a big one for Seattle star Julio Rodriguez. The center fielder crushed his career 100th career home run, a 391-foot two-run homer off of two-time Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom in the third inning.

Wyatt Langford hit a tiebreaking single in the 11th inning, and the Texas Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners 6-4

In the sixth, with it still a game at 3-0, the Rangers threatened a two-out rally with a single by Seager and a double to the wall by Marcus Semien. Seager, a below-average runner, was held up at third. And stranded there when Adolis García struck out.

Seattle began its eventual failed rally in the bottom of the sixth. Trailing 2-0, shortstop J.P. Crawford scored on a balk attributed to Rangers starting pitcher Merrill Kelly. Center fielder Julio Rodriguez hit an RBI double to knot the contest up 2-2.

A recent slump has tested J.P. Crawford’s patience, but he broke out in a big way Friday night with his first career walkoff home run. "I really needed that,” he said.
