People took to the streets to honor civil rights leader John Lewis on the anniversary of his death – while also protesting the current administration.

The gatherings invoked the Civil Rights leader’s memory while offering another venue for groups protesting the Trump administration this year.

The “Good Trouble Lives On” national day of action honors the late congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis. Protests are expected to be held along streets, at court houses and other public spaces. Organizers are calling for them to be peaceful.
