With the Tide down 10 at home, cameras panned to the Sabans watching the game at Saban Field. Miss Terry was seen whispering something to former Alabama coach Nick Saban. AL.com asked fans during the game what they thought she was communicating to her husband.

Nick Saban retired from Alabama in January 2024 after a record run and was officially hired by ESPN to work on College GameDay less than a month later.  Across

“‘Mrs Terry said ‘sit up’ and coach jumped up. We know who’s the boss,” stated one fan. Another chimed in that no one should ever question who really runs the house: “If anyone still wondered who’s the boss she even told him what his wish is lol RTR & HAPPY BIRTHDAY Coach!!”

Saban denied publicly that there is any chance of his return. The problem is he also denied he would be the coach at Alabama before taking the job.

Before Alabama faces off against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, Saban offered a word of warning to head coach Kalen DeBoer and his Crimson Tide. The seven-time national champion knows the highs of a winning streak can lead to complacency against lesser opponents.

The former Crimson Tide head coach listed the three teams he believes are a step above the rest this season, but notably, one team was absent from his list.
