The Gulf of Mexico is under the watchful eye of the National Hurricane Center as a cluster of storms off Florida shows signs of tropical development. As these storms head west into the Gulf's warm waters,

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical disturbance that has low chance of development as it moves toward Florida's Gulf Coast over the next few days.

Flooding will be of greatest concern in low-lying, poor drainage and urban locations across central Florida into midweek as the tropical rainstorm tracks across the peninsula.
