Vikings fans will get their own looks at projected starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, rebuilt offensive and defensive lines and their favorite returning stars on Saturday for the first of 12 open practices this summer at training camp at TCO Performance Center in Eagan.

Minnesota is banking on the 2024 No. 10 pick being ready to play right away in his first year as an NFL starter, but won’t ask him to do too much.

The pressure will get dialed up for McCarthy as training camp wears on. Can he move forward with the level of consistency required to play the position at a high level?
