Lefty Kolby Allard delivered three key scoreless innings out of the bullpen on Monday night for the Guardians against the Brewers.

After three up, three down innings for both teams in the first, the Crew got on the board in the top of the second. William Contreras singled on a sharp line drive to center fielder Nolan Jones to lead off the frame. Brice Turang struck out swinging, but Rhys Hoskins worked a walk against Guardians starter Gavin Williams.

Jackson Chourio had two of Milwaukee's three hits, including his 14th double, but a missed opportunity in the outfield proved costly on the road.

The Milwaukee Brewers will try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Cleveland Guardians on May 14. Right-hander Logan Henderson makes his second start of the year while right-hander Gavin Williams gets the ball for Cleveland.

Jose Ramirez beat the Brewers with his feet on Monday night. Tuesday night he went with a combination of lumber and shoe leather. Ramirez homered in the first inning and scored an insurance run from first base in the eighth as the Guardians shut out the Brewers for the second straight night in a 2-0 victory.
