The company’s CEO, Lucian Grainge, called Drake’s claim “farcical” and “groundless and indeed ridiculous” in a letter filed in New York federal court Thursday, according to Forbes. Grainge said that he never heard “Not Like Us” or saw its music video until they were released.

In a declaration letter filed Thursday night in the Southern District of New York, Grainge said Drake's accusation that UMG (parent label firm to both Drake and Lamar) defamed him “makes no sense.”

The Hollywood Reporter states that Drizzy is attempting to persuade the court to force the record label and its chairman and CEO, Lucian Grainge, to hand over Dot’s contract. He’s also asking for any details and communications from Grainge regarding “allegations of domestic violence and other crimes” supposedly committed by the pgLang head.
