Schoonmaker appears to be on the fast-track to becoming another Cowboys early-round tight end draft bust, joining the likes of David LaFleur, Gavin Escobar and Anthony Fasano, all of whom were selected in the first two rounds and none of whom got even close to the 1,000-yard receiving mark (total) with Dallas.

Just a little over a week stands between the Dallas Cowboys and the start of the 2025 NFL Draft. This year’s draft will be highly impactful to both the short- and long-term future of the franchise. The Cowboys need to supplement their free agency by coming away from this draft with multiple impactful players.
