The Chicago area has gotten a bit of a reprieve from snow lately, but that’s going to change with multiple chances of accumulating snow in coming days.

A band of snow moved into the Chicago area Wednesday morning, creating slick conditions for the morning commute.

A snow squall warning was issued with whiteout conditions across the Chicago area during the Wednesday morning rush.

"Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes," the National Weather Service in Chicago said while issuing a snow squall warning .

Visibility in downtown Chicago was reduced as quick bursts of snow blew through the area this morning. The Windy City is currently experiencing a system dumping heavy snow on the area, causing ground stops at major airports like O'Hare International.
