(Reuters) -British Gas owner Centrica said on Friday it has entered into a natural gas agreement with Devon Energy, in which the U.S.-based firm will supply an equivalent to five LNG cargoes per year over a 10-year term from 2028.

Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, has purchased a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Medway, Kent from the National Grid in a deal worth £1.5bn.

The sale needs approval from regulators and the government, but is expected to go through by the end of the year.
