According to the Block Island Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department Facebook page, the incident occurred earlier this afternoon after first responders were dispatched to reports of a single-engine plane crash.

The three NY residents, one who died and two who were injured, have not been identified in a small plane crash in Rhode Island on July 30.

Dan Wilson, who oversaw projects at BBL Construction, died in a Wednesday crash that left two others injured, the victim's son said.
