Georgia up to No. 4 in AP poll, Sooners back in top 10 and Mean Green ranked for 1st time since 1959
Georgia has moved up to No. 4 in The Associated Press poll, Oklahoma is back in the top 10 and North Texas is ranked for the first time since 1959.
Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.
Washington took the last spot over Houston because the Huskies beat Illinois. Both teams hold a bad loss (Houston lost to West Virginia at home and Washington dropped a road game to Wisconsin), but Washington is the only one among them to have beaten a ranked team in my poll.
