Several names have been floated as possible Pickens replacements over the last few weeks, but one that's been thrown out more than any other is current New York Jets receiver Allen Lazard, who's spent all seven seasons of his NFL career as Rodgers' teammate.
Rodgers signed a one-year deal with the Steelers on Thursday, paving the way for him to be their starting quarterback. Having played together for five seasons with the Green Bay Packers and another two with the Jets, Lazard earned the trust of Rodgers on the field, and Rodgers could have lobbied to have him join the Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are putting all their eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket, at least for the 2025 NFL season. As a result, the team may not be done shuffling its lineup around the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
