At least 82 people are dead after heavy rain led to "catastrophic" flooding in Texas. Kerr County was hit the hardest, with at least 75 deaths, including 27 children. President Donald Trump signed a disaster declaration for the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is on the ground there.
Some camps in the region had to be evacuated, and local newspapers described how Camp Mystic was among those cut off from the outside world. According to a Kerr County history book, floodwaters at Camp Mystic almost reached the top of the dining hall’s stairs.
The death toll has now climbed to at least 129, making it America's deadliest rainfall-driven flash flood since 1976.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said his state "will not stop until every missing person is found" following devastating flooding in central Texas over the Fourth of July weekend that left at least 105 dead. Five young girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic in Hunt remain missing Tuesday.

The body of Mary Kate Jacobe, a young Houston girl reported missing from Camp Mystic during the catastrophic flooding that hit Texas, has been found.
Virginia Wynne Naylor, 8, was at Camp Mystic, a girls' summer camp with cabins along the river in a rural part of Kerr County, when the floods hit on July 4. Her family confirmed her death in a statement, referring to her as Wynne.
With additional rain on the way, more flooding still threatened in saturated parts of central Texas. Authorities said the death toll was sure to rise.
