We were there around mid October and we got tickets few minutes before the concert at 7:30pm in front of the venue. It was fantastic!

A there seems to be some confusion. Just taking the distance and walking time as has been indicated it is essential,unless you are prepared to allow time to get lost get a vapoetto. We have been visiting for a dozen years and still happily gett lost! The closest vapoetto stop to the sculls is San Toma and a number 1 will take you to either Rialto or going the other way to San Marco. We would always stop at Ca Rezonico to see the super museum, the tranquil garden and, the friendly. Cafe. Enjoy!
